As Sticky as a War !
Could any war, once started, ever be truly over when the physical fighting ends?
What's done cannot be undone. What's gone is gone forever.
Could the emotional and spiritual pain inflicted on all victims of the war be wiped off without a trace?
Would their children and grandchildren not "do something" to ...
And is it possible for human beings not to engage in war as a means of resolving their disputes?

Insurance Mask ?
Is the mask an insurance against specified loss of social status and material gains, in return for paying the premiums, which is to become a hypocritical person?
During my younger days, my playmates and I loved to make paper-mâché masks, out of old newspapers and glue made from flour and water. We were quite creative and innovative then, and ended up with a sizable collection of masks of all types of weird shapes and colours in our stock of self-made toys. We would often choose our masks based on the theme of play for that particular day, and wear them out to 'harass' the neighbourhood. We derived lots of pleasures from having a unique identity as the masked kids, and being different from others.
I never would have thought that we weren't that dissimilar to everyone else. In fact, everyone is wearing a mask of some sort, most of the times. We wear different masks when we slip in and out of the different roles that we play each day. For some people, the most frequently used mask has meshed with their actual faces. It has become their dominant and permanent mask, and all the secondary masks are worn over it. Makeover and cosmetics makeup are also a type of mask to create a false or distorted sensory experiences for others, and especially for the wearer. You may argue that it is not presenting something which is never there, but it is bringing out something or quality which is already there but remain hidden, dormant or undeveloped due to one reason or another. And I agree. We are evolving creatures, and any obsolete and worn-out mask should be replaced with a more relevant and effective one.
It is fun to wear the masks of some famous characters to attend some carnivals. It is necessary to wear the masks to perform some tribal ceremonies. It is 'cute' to wear a funny mask once in a while to tease someone special. But it's despicable to wear those 'masks' that look down on your fellow men because of your superiority and advantage in social and financial status. Otherwise if you so choose, to wear a mask for absolute privacy in your personal life like I do, it is okay - I guess. And here is my 'lovely' mask :)

We ain't Paper Snakes !
A mighty dragon cannot crush a Native Snake.
So "dragons",
look before you leap,
for Snake among sweet flowers do creep :)
And even if a Snake is not poisonous,
it should, and will, pretend to be venomous!

Slide Fun
When I was a little kid, I loved to ride down the slides at playgrounds. Now that I am a 'childish' grown-up, I still love to play on a slide, if I could just muster up enough courage, to infiltrate into a playground community, without being identified as a misfit by their onlooking nannies!
Why do I enjoy the sliding down? Adults, like me, should prefer climbing up, and staying on top of the world, instead of gliding downward. Because I've height phobia! Then why do I get up onto the slide repeatedly? Because that is where the fun begins! And by the way, you shouldn't be staying on top of a slide or anything else in life for long. There are many different interesting slides elsewhere to try out. You'll miss out all the fun if you stay stagnant at where you are right now. If there is still a hidden or out-of-bound stairwell up there for you to climb even higher, you may stay on to work on it. But if there is none, get down! You could go down the way you have come up or jump down directly from the top. But I would recommend the sliding method. If you've to descend from anything, you might as well do it with lots of fun and joy!
Now, lets analyse why I love to glide down the slide. I think it's about going with the flow and going the path of least resistant. So, it's effortless and I feel like I'm harmoniously in tune with everything else, and the nature agree and support me wholeheartedly.
During the sliding down, my body senses the rapid changes in many subtle attributes of the reality. Sad or unpleasant memories, which are almost static, are momentarily thrown behind me as I zip forward. I get a glimpse of myself in the present with no attachment to the lingering emotions stored in or engraved on my mind. As my body travels through the 'contorted' time-space, I feel energetic and relaxed at the same time! And I'm refreshed by the ethereal and blissful breeze that brush lightly over the surface of my skin, but massage my soul deeply. Part of all highly-charged emotions, and heavier matters like stress, are left behind as I go from region of high to low potential energy. You would love the sensation, and would quickly move over to join the queue, many times over, to do more sliding!

Penalty Shootout !!!
Penalty shootout is the most exciting part of a football match.
That is, if you don't support both the teams on the field. You're just a neutral fan for that particular 'Beautiful Game'.
But you would still feel your heart pounding, stopping and skipping a beat during the game of 'Russian roulette'. You could almost empathize with each penalty taker, suffering from the agony of missing his kick or heaving a sigh of relief for being lucky that day!
So, just imagine what I was feeling when my adored football club or national team was there in the centre circle! It's too devastating to lost the match this way, and especially, if your team is usually the underdog and it will take them a long time before getting another stream of good luck to come that far in a tournament again. I would then avoid, for the time being, any contact with all possible sources which would remind me of the defeat.
Even if my team has survived the ordeal, the joy of winning just won't sink in as much and as soon as when they had emerged victorious by a clear margin during the normal time. I would still retain a sense of uneasiness. The distress from this trauma would only be alleviated on the next day when the triumph is echoed back to me from the reports on newspapers, TV and radio stations. By then, I would be checking out the date and time of the replay on the sports channels.
In football, there is no place for Win-Win. Either you're booted out, or you get to live another day to face the next 11 gladiators and their million fans, who pray for the referee to shower your team with lots of yellow and red cards!

What goes up must come down
"All conditioned things are impermanent."
"Everything can be compared to a Rainbow.
Although most things last longer than a rainbow, the way they exist is similar:
- they arise due to the coming together of different causes and conditions,
- exist for a while, and then,
- again due to causes and conditions, they go out of existence.
So, like a rainbow, they are illusory, empty of permanent, independent, substantial existence."

Jumping and Hopping
Little children like to jump up and down and hop around...
But as they get older... and grow taller and bigger, they begin to feel uncomfortable launching their heavier body mass into the air, and therefore prefer to stay grounded.
Their minds are also stuffed with ever increasing data and are attached to ever growing burdens, from their commitment to more responsibilities, and 'occupation' to satisfy their craving for more physical possessions and improve their status among fellow men. They aspire to 'fly high', but are actually acting to get themselves 'deeply rooted'. They will have problem jumping up, though they will get pretty good at jumping down! It's time to house keep your mind and pull yourself off the soil.
Let's do some jumping and hopping now. Find it awkward? Don't be bothered by the fact that you could still do it! Find it childish? You aren't that old! We're really old only on that day when we've to lie down. Find it meaningless? It's understandable if you're used to and prefer to keep sinking into the ground!
Okay! No more excuses! Just don't do it in front of anyone else but yourself. You shall get all the fun then, but only the jeers from yourself!

Cars Fly
These toy cars could only charge off a platform into the air, and get pulled down instantly by gravity for a crash landing!
However, there are real-life flying cars or roadable aircrafts that can travel on roads and in the air. The modular types require a bit of conversion, and the pieces to fly are left at the airport when the vehicle is driven. The integrated types let you activate from inside the "cockpit", the folding and stowing of the wings for road use, and their deployment and extension for flight.
Now, you can fly to school, fly to work, fly to run your errands, fly to catch a movie, fly to the airport to send-off/pick-up someone, fly around the neighbourhood to look for your missing dog, or simply fly to nowhere!

Run. You Can!
Why Run? Because You still Can!
There will come a day when you cannot:
run towards the Sun;
run away from the Gun;
or just simply run for Fun!
Over the centuries, the human body has been streamlined for running.
For running far and wide in search of water and food,
and for hunting.
For running away from much stronger or larger and fierce wildlife,
or fellow human enemies from the other tribes.
When you run, your body creates and releases chemicals that energize you; that excite you; that keep you alert. As you get fitter by running regularly, you should feel refreshed, a sense of well-being and optimism after every run. You'd find it is fun to run. And you'll run, just simply for fun!

Chase away your Demon !
Demon cannot harm anyone unless it has a host to 'activate' its power. It makes use of the weaknesses of its host to exert its influence.
What do the demon fear? You face the things that you fear and overcome them. Whenever a thing is done for the first time despite your fear, it releases the demon. But it'd not go away and leave you alone forever. It'd stay closely by your side to observe you, just to be certain that it was not a one-time 'madness' on your part. And besides, you still have other weaknesses for the demon to exploit.
However, please don't be disheartened. Look on the bright side. Demon fears a 'Bright and Sunny' host! "Uncertainty! fell demon of our fears! The human soul that can support despair, supports not thee. "
And remember to smile and laugh! Demon fears a happy, loving, kind and compassionate host. This type of host does not just chase away the demon, but has the power to 'convert' it into a friendly 'demon'! "One hearty laugh together will bring enemies into a closer communion of heart than hours spent on both sides in inward wrestling with the mental demon of uncharitable feeling."

Move! Soldiers! Move!
Running is a good form of exercise. "Running is more than just the run. It's a vehicle that can influence positive changes in every other aspects of your life. "
"If it weren't for the fact that the TV set and the refrigerator are so far apart, some of us wouldn't get any exercise at all." - Joey Adams
Hey! Kick-start to a healthier life-style by walking.....Walk to your buddy's house a few streets away to watch that football or basketball match there! During the game breaks, walk to the "refrigerator" at the food store a few blocks away. After the show is over, play a ball game with your buddy before walking home.
"The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, sidestepping responsibility, and pushing their luck." -Arnold H. Glasow
Hey! This is not a problem to begin with! Just place these conclusions further away so that you can have more time to do the jumping before reaching them. Pick only those friends who live further away to run down. By the time you run down to them to run them down, you've gotten yourself a good work-out. Also, if you've just sidestepped once or twice, the responsibility will still come back to haunt you again very soon. So, sidestep at least a thousand steps each time. And you should also push your luck further away; at least 10 miles away!
Got it? Yup! That's the spirit to go! Now... move!

Just Juggle it ?
Juggling is a good form of exercise for part of the arms and shoulders. It also improves your eyes to hands coordination.
Juggling does to my upper limbs, what jogging has done for my lower limbs. In fact, there are jogglers who do juggling while they go jogging.
You can do a "speedy" session by upping the tempo: use more props, and of the same size and shape and texture and weight, and keep the props closer to one another in the air.
Or, you can do a "strengthening" session by upping the degree of difficulty: use more props and of different sizes and shapes and textures and weights, and execute a more complicate pattern.
Or, you can have a relaxing "recovery" session by slowing down the rhythm: use less props, do an easier pattern, and throw the props higher up. Some people juggle only when they are calm. Others juggle to calm themselves. Personally, I find that the condition is similar to that of a long slow jog, which is a good time to do some thinking and dreaming. Juggling certainly does take away some negative energy from you as it burns calorie at the same time.
Life certainly is one juggling act after another. Juggling between work and leisure, family and friends, between all the different roles that you play. Shall we add more things to juggle, or shall we intentionally miss one of these items and lets it drop to the ground? Or shall we just focus on a handful of tasks or goals, that we can simply hold on to, without the need to juggle?

War Zone 7: End of the Road
"Violent is like money in the bank;
it's only helpful if you don't have to use it."
"Friends may come and go,
but enemies accumulate."
"Half the harm that is done in this world is
due to people who want to feel important"
"One who looks upon the world
as a bubble and a mirage,
him the King of Death see not."

Dancing with a Rubik
Dancing with the feet and the heart is one thing, but dancing with the fingers and the brain is another.
"Dancing is the poetry of the foot." Dancing with the Cube is the poetry of the fingers.
"Dancing can reveal all the mystery that music conceals."
"You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart", even if only with your fingers.
"Dancing is like dreaming with your feet"; dancing with a Cube is like dreaming with your fingers!
"The truest expression of a people is in its dance and in its music. Bodies never lie."
They who love dancing with their fingers too much seem to have more brains in their fingers than in their head.
"Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up", get a Cube "and dance."
"Dance first. Think later. It's the natural order. "
"I can feel the wind go by when I run"; when my fingers run around a Cube. "It feels good. It feels fast."
"Intellectual tasting of life will not supersede muscular activity."
"Exercise", dance with a Cube": you don't have time not to."
War Zone 6: a Void Victory
"Whoever is overcome
by this wretched and sticky craving,
his sorrows grow
like grass after the rains.
But whoever overcomes
this wretched craving,
so difficult to overcome,
sorrows fall away from him
like water from a lotus leaf."
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
War Zone 5: the Escape Maze
"Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary."
"The first casualty when war comes is truth."
"Men may be linked by friendship; Nations are linked only in interests."
"We will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
Monday, July 20, 2009
War Zone 4: Cross-Border Hatred
"So long as an evil deed has not ripened, the fool thinks it's as sweet as honey."
"Truly, an evil deed committed does not immediately bear fruit, like milk that does not turn sour all at once. But smouldering, it follows the fool like fire covered by ashes."
"Fools of little wit are enemies unto themselves as they move about doing evil deeds, the fruit of which are bitter."
By the way, milk and honey are pure foods, that turn easily and effortlessly into a subtle substance which is the body's counterpart to pure joy, that enable the cells to feel happy and blissful. Rice, almonds, wheat, oranges and dates are some other pure foods.

War Zone 3: Hold the Fort
"Irrigators regulate the waters; fletchers straighten the arrow shaft; carpenters shape the wood; the wise control themselves." Deploy your Armed Forces and extend your military might prudently. Do not imagine evil where there is none, and not see evil where it is.
"Just as a storm throws down a weak tree, ...Just as a storm cannot prevail against a rocky mountain, ..." Do not use this to validate your reasons to build up a 'defence' capability that could take on the whole 'United Nations' or trigger an arms race towards 'World War 3'. Forge a close relationship with all 'friendly' nations, or establish a strategic alliance with them to stand 'taller'; to stand up to any 'unfriendly' nation, beyond your geographical region and outside your 'legal' zone or 'technological' range of defence.

the Moon
The full moon.
It's such a joy and heart-warming to view it,
with your beloved one beside you;
with your family around you whenever there's a reunion.
However, it brings 'longingness' and sorrow,
if you've broken up with your beloved one,
or when someone in your family is no longer around.
"Seek no intimacy with the beloved
and also not with the unloved,
for not to see the beloved
and to see the unloved,
both are painful.
Therefore, hold nothing dear,
for separation from the dear is painful.
There are no bonds for those who have nothing
beloved or unloved."
War Zone 2: Declaration of War
"The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend"
Yesterdays, they (their parents and grandparents) are our enemies.
Today, they (themselves) are our friends.
Tomorrow, will they (their children and grandchildren) be our enemies again!
If the past generations of people had known that, their children would become good friends one day, would they still have tried to kill one another?
If we know that, our children would become enemies one day, should we still be friends today?
"The same fence, that shuts others out, shuts you in"
We should not isolate or distance ourselves from anyone or any nation who is not on friendly terms with us. Instead, the wider the difference in views, the more we should establish and maintain a close contact with one another, to have the avenue and benefit of looking at things through each other's eyes, and achieve a baseline trust of one another, and avoid any "on-impulse first strike" due to a 'non-understanding' or misinterpretation of motives.
"Whatever harm an enemy may do to an enemy, or a hater to a hater,
an ill-directed mind inflicts on oneself a greater harm."
Please give your own people the opportunity to live peacefully and happily, and not be thirsty and hungry most of the times, and not fall sick and getting weaker by the minutes without receiving the right medical attention, and not have your people look helplessly at their beloved families and not being able to provide them with a basic living condition.
Think again. Is there really an enemy out there, or is it a creation in your own mind out of past experiences, which are similar to the conditions that create the rainbow?

War Zone 1: The Cold War
"Every country has faults."
"Better conquering self than a thousand times a thousand enemies." If you are holding 'that power' in your hands right now, end your war! If you are about to be granted 'that power', do not initiate new war! Send your men out to 'maintain peace'; to 'induce peace' instead.
"What worthy ends are not better achieved through love than through hate?" Make love, not war. Do not scatter and germinate the seeds of hatred. It's like the flu pandemic; it'll get out of control if all warring parties refuse to or do not play their parts responsibly.
"Everything together falls apart. Every rising up collapses. Every meeting ends in parting. Every life ends in death." These are already the natural processes in life. Do not accelerate them by wars, please!

排排坐
[Sung by 梁文福 - 黃譓禎, 词曲:梁文福]
Many children spend their earlier years with the grandparents while both their parents are away working full-time. If you are one of them, do you still remember those happy times together?
Are your grandpa and granny resting on the rocking chairs on the porch every night, staring with blurry-weary-teary eyes at the shining stars high above? Have you slowed down the rhythm of your life yet? ...To sit down beside them and let them finish the stories, of their lives, which they had first begun telling you, when you were still a frail child, depending on them for everything. Now, while you are busy getting ahead in your life, their journey is coming to an end. And how they wish upon the stars that you would understand that they still see you as that toddler years back. And they would like you to know the ending of their stories, and to receive all their loves which they are leaving behind for you and your loved ones.
Don't let them leave, with regret and disappointment, for the lands far away and beyond our reach! Now, gather all your children and siblings, and sit in a row! Grandpa and Granny would be so happy and be young again!

6 little Belles
Starring Marmalade Heart, Cutie March, Cassandra Black, Please Pliê, Buttercake Afternoon & Bunny Black.
What is a beauty? Beauty is in the eyes of the person who sees it. Beauty is in the heart of the person who feels it. Beauty is in the mind of the person who creates it.
Let none find fault with others. Let none see the omissions and commissions of others. But let one see one's own acts, done and undone.
Are you a beauty? The person who sees you as one is also one. The person who disagrees is also not. That person includes you. Whether you think you are a beauty or not, you are right! But this is not the final answer. You can ask yourself the same question again. You shall be your own judge. I'm just a passer-by, admiring your beauty.

Water works too!
These are some of the waterworks at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Listen to the falling water. Listen to the running water. And feel the 'flowing Stillness' in your mind. You will feel peaceful, serene and blissful. You might choose to flow with the water, or let the water still you down. The running water might make you understand the solitude of silence and feel the joy of quietness. The falling water might make you feel like singing and dancing in the rain.
Water is the best solvent. I hope her music might also dissolve all your problems, disappointments and unhappiness. Clean and fresh 'Plain Water' is essential for our survival; it is essential to good health. However, you are free to change its taste, its colour, its texture and form to spice up your life.
Water is precious. You may play with water, play in the water, play on or under the water. But do remember not to waste water. Conserve it. Recycle it. Lets hope we'll also find drinkable running water on the surface of some other planets soon.
Now, I am feeling thirsty... I'm getting myself a glass of plain water. And please do come back here again for some more water, plainly.

the Mute Swans
Swans are the largest waterfowl. The largest swan in the world is the trumpeter swan of North America. It measures as long as 1.8 m, has a wingspan as great as 2.5 m, and weighs up to 16 kg. The smallest swan is the coscoroba swan of South America, though it is hardly a small bird, measuring about 1 m in length. Some experts believe this bird is more closely related to geese. Many swans have loud, boisterous calls. The trumpeter swan, for example, is named for its bugle-like call, which carries a long distance. The whistling swan (known in North America as the tundra swan) has a whistle-like call. The coscoroba swan produces a loud call that sounds like "cos-cor-ooo." The mute swan is an exception, although it is not entirely silent as the name implies. However, it is far quieter than other swans.

Maitreya Smile
"His belly so huge so as to accommodate everything unbearable;
His mouth so wide-open so as to laugh at everything ridiculous."
We should always strive to fill ourselves up with loving-kindness and compassion, until these qualities overflow and flood your home, then your neighbourhood, then your country, then the whole world, and then the future world, and then the "other Worlds".
End of lesson. Class dismissed. Go and play!
Seriously! ... The point is that when you do "whatever" that makes yourself feel good and/or is good for you, please also see that it does not harm others and the "greater good". If possible, make sure it's also good for others and serves the "greater good".
Do not indulge in destructive activities simply because of peer pressure, no longer relevant old social beliefs or your past conditioning. I know that we are ruled by our habits. It takes a habit to replace a habit. Develop some positive, wholesome, constructive, corrective habits by remembering to do these right things over and over again. Do not be disheartened if we find ourselves slipping back to the old habits, but always rise up with fresh courage. There is no better means of attainment than by continually beginning again.
Got it? Good! You can really go out to play now!
... and please make sure you don't leave anything behind.
... especially, your Smile.

No Kiddy in Parliament, please
The original, more interesting title is "No Kidding in Parliament, please!" It was dropped because I thought it might get me into some sort of trouble if someone try to read in between the simple and direct lines, and put words into my mouth. Or am I thinking too much? In any case...
The state of my mind is somewhat similar to a debating session in the Parliament. There are different interest groups lobbying for a larger share of my limited financial resources, time and energy reserve. They are not purely angels or demons. Everyone has a valid case with its underlying pros and cons. With the intention of achieving a win-win situation for all parties, I have to come up with decisions that incorporate all their requests to varying degrees. Otherwise, they will return to pester me constantly and affect my absolute focus on the particular undertaking.
The mind and the physical body should work in unison. If the mind is confuse, it will send a mixed signal to the body, and there will be wastage in the utilization of your money, time and energy due to a lack of knowledge of your true purpose and goals in life.
And yes, to make myself "safe and sound", I would like to stress that the Parliament is a solemn place and there is NOT a single person kidding there. And also, to really "get into" the Parliament to serve the common interests of your people, you should instead strive to become a credible candidate for the next General Election.

B Happy Where U R...
When did you last watch the clouds floating by? Meaningless?
When did you last notice a plane flying over high up? Got better things to do?
When did you last cycle into the morning mist? Boring?
Maybe, you are right. After all, making a living is important, saving up for the golden twilight years is critical and creating a better future for your loved ones is essential. There are also better options for entertainment and relaxation that can be had with more money. So, why bother about noticing and doing the simple things in life.
Hey! Isn't it wonderful that different people go after different things in life?

The Little Red Dot
There is a place on Earth known as the "Little Red Dot". And that's the way she is indicated on the World Map.
I often see a little red dot when I run in the early morning. In this video, you will also come across it, appearing in orange colour. And that is the rising sun! It's an extremely important little red dot. Any dot, little or bigger, red or colourful, that plays the role of the Sun for the people living in its neighbouring region, is definitely a sincerely embraced and greatly appreciated dot.

Dancing with the "Land Ships"
(if using notebook's built-in speaker, pluck in headphone or external amplified speaker to pick up the full range of background music.)
Tanks were born in World War 1 out of the desperation of trench warfare. They were designed by the Allies to crawl right up to the German Army in their system of trenches, strongly defended by machine guns and artillery, and destroy them without being destroyed first.
Tanks were originally called "land ships'. The name "tank" comes from a British cover story: "They concealed their construction from the Germans by calling them storage tanks or boilers."
Defending a country from evil forces might be worth doing, but defending the power of one's country over others is simply not right.
Better conquering self than a thousand times a thousand enemies. If we cannot restore life, who are we to take it?
Okay, back to the dancing with these "Heavy Metal"! Let's hope they will only Rock 'n' Roll, and 'Lock', 'Pop' & 'Break' during peace times...

a Morning Walk ...
Every morning is a new beginning. It is the first day of the rest of your life. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. So, love everyone, love everything! One thousand years from now, it's all new people.
A new batch of human or 'alien' beings will be taking their morning walk where I used to, but seeing totally different things. By then, most of what you have done, are doing and will be doing, do not matter to them. Except for all those, whom you had loved during your times, who no longer own the source of memories to remember a thing about you.
However, I do believe you had created a Link between you and those people whom you cared about. One day, it shall be Clicked and the 'cause/effect' data will be Downloaded. And you will be seeing one another again and writing a new chapter together, without remembering your past episodes.
Today is a good day! ...isn't it?

run Forest, Run!
Forests were put on Earth for a reason. They help to maintain a delicate balance between all of nature's elements, and this prolongs the human race. As a result of deforestation, we are already losing many species of animals and plants each day, and destroying the sources of potential cures for many diseases of today and the future. Over-deforestation leads to negative climate change. The recycling of water by nature is disrupted. The carbon dioxide level goes up. The temperature shoots up. There would also be more incidents of soil erosion, flooding and landslides.
So, keep the forests; save its trees. Love the forests; hug the trees. Or, they will get real grumpy. And Mother Nature hates to see us turn her lovely child into a Forest Grump! And we shall have to run instead ...to find a safe place to hide!

Mother Nature's sadness and anger ...
What have we done? For the past week, we have been woken up just before sunrise by gusty wind, heavy rain, loud thunder and glaring lightning. And the day greeted us with fallen leaves, flowers, twigs, branches, trees, and water puddles everywhere...

Lightning in the Silence of the Night...
I have extracted all the flashes from a 18 minutes clip, so you don't have to wait long in between the lightnings.
The scene alternates silently between a black sky and the white lightnings. By watching this and maybe by attempting to count the number of flashes, I hope I can help you to fall asleep quickly. And please, do remember to turn off the light. This is conducive to sleeping well and seeing the flashes clearly.

Gone with the Passing Clouds ...
The planes come and go, the clouds come and go, the birds come and go, the Superman comes and goes, the UFOs come and go. But, the sky remains clear ...

This is good for your eyes ...
Really. I'm referring to the real things. After 30-40 minutes of continuous near work (such as what you are doing right now), look at something far far away (such as the green trees). Going for regular walks, or jogging or cycling or 'rolling', in the park is also good for your eyes. And by the way, it's also good for the trees. They need your carbon dioxide, your 'waste water' and your company. Just don't leave behind any rubbish that takes a long long time to decompose or disintegrate. However, you are most welcome to leave your worries, your fears or any negative mental feelings here. The wind will disperse them effortlessly.
It is getting hot, and hotter ...
The fire-ball has risen! It's time for me to go underground to sleep, ...I mean, to cool off. Don't get it wrong... I'm not a vampire. I'm just a harmless snowman.
I shall be back ...after the sun has sunk into the sea or dropped behind the mountains. It's cooler to watch the orange moon-rise. Especially with a pack of red blood,...ur...I mean, a glass of red wine.

Monkeys plucks coconuts ...
Be Flexible? We have not been able to find our perfect job as bananas harvesters. Shall we go and apply for one that asks us to pluck those coconuts! It would be fun to hang around the seaside everyday! I am sick of hanging around the same old trees in our home-sweet-home jungle ... with no one to feed us! But, there are picnickers on the beach who would surely love to share something yummy with some cute and skinny monkeys...
Will it rain? ...keep walking...
Do NOT stubbornly continue any activity in open areas when lightning threatens.
Be alert to darkening clouds, 'sheet' lightning at a distant and increasingly loud thunder.
